Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign up to use VitaWrite?

No. You can add blocks and save to this device right away without logging in. If you want to access your resumes from anywhere, you'll need to create an account and sign in.

Where are my documents stored?

Your work is saved in your current browser. After signing in, click “Save to account” in the editor to make the document available on your other devices. Signing in alone does not upload anything automatically. Clearing your browser data can remove documents stored on the device, so keep a backup as well.

How do I make a backup?

Download a backup from the editor or from My resumes. Use “Import backup” in My resumes to create a new copy from it. Backup files contain personal information.

Can I save my resume as a PDF?

Click “Create PDF” and our server generates an A4 PDF of your document. You download the same file shown in the preview. Generated files expire after one hour.

Will I lose content if I switch from two columns to one?

No. The left column is merged first, followed by the right column. You can restore the previous layout with Undo.

What should I do if saving fails?

Back up your current content before closing the page. Check your storage space and browser permissions. If you edited the same document in another tab, keep a copy of each version before choosing one.

Are there any paid features?

Writing and saving on your device require no payment or subscription. Basic server-generated PDFs are also free.

Do ads read my resume?

No ads are shown at the moment. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) are used only if you choose 'Accept all' in the cookie choice, and your resume content is never sent. Our policy is to never place ads on private editing or document pages.
