A performance marketer's resume speaks in numbers. Every line should say what you spent on which channel, what you changed and how much a metric moved.
For: Marketers with one to seven years of paid media experience

Seoa Yoon
Performance Marketer · 5 years, improving ads and conversion with data
sample@example.com · Seoul
Summary
I have run search, social and app ads for five years in commerce and app services. I improve ad efficiency and purchase conversion together through creative testing and cleaner measurement, including raising ROAS on a KRW 30M monthly Meta budget from 180% to 260%.
Experience
Example Commerce · Performance Marketer
2022-03 – Present
• Ran weekly creative A/B tests on a KRW 30M monthly Meta budget, raising ROAS from 180% to 260%.
• Redesigned GA4 events to measure checkout drop-off and fixed the shipping step, lifting purchase conversion from 1.8% to 2.4%.
• Documented budget allocation rules by channel and ran weekly performance reviews.
Example Digital Agency · Account Executive, Paid Media
2020-01 – 2022-02
• Ran Naver search ads and Google Ads for six clients in beauty and education.
• Restructured keywords and managed negatives, cutting average CPC by 18%.
'Improved ad efficiency' says nothing about scale or outcome. Give the monthly spend, what you changed and the before-and-after ROAS or CPA. If you cannot share real amounts, ratios or ranges work too.
02
What you changed makes the difference
The same result shows different skills depending on whether you changed bidding, tested creative or fixed landing pages. Put your decision and action before the result.
03
Separate channels from analytics tools
Running ad channels and measuring performance are different skills. Splitting them in your skills section helps recruiters find what they need quickly.
Writing the summary
Put your years of experience, main channels or industry and one headline result in one or two sentences. Your single strongest number beats a long description.

Try rewriting it like this
BeforeRan Meta ads and improved ad efficiency.
AfterRan a KRW 30M monthly Meta budget and raised ROAS from 180% to 260% with weekly creative A/B tests.
Scale, method and before-and-after metrics show both the size of the result and whether it can be repeated.
BeforeAnalyzed data using GA4.
AfterRedesigned GA4 events to measure drop-off at each checkout step, fixed the shipping-details step with the biggest loss and lifted purchase conversion from 1.8% to 2.4%.
What you found and changed with the tool matters more than using it.
BeforeWas in charge of a new app launch campaign.
AfterDesigned the channel mix and budget split for a new app launch, reaching 50,000 installs in the first month at a CPI 22% below target.
Replace 'in charge of' with what you decided and the result against the goal.
Organizing skills
Split skills into ad channels (Google Ads, Meta, Naver search ads), analytics and measurement (GA4, attribution tools, SQL) and experimentation (A/B testing). Put certifications in their own section.
What changes with experience
If this is your first application
In years one and two, focus on the channels you ran and one or two improvements you made yourself. Even with small budgets, describing how you designed tests and read the results shows potential.
If you have more experience
With more years, changes to strategy and structure matter more than single campaigns. Lead with budget allocation rules you set, measurement you built or people you led.
Common mistakes
Listing every campaign so the headline result gets lost
Metric names without before-and-after numbers or time frames
Not distinguishing agency from in-house experience
Disclosing confidential revenue or ad spend as is
Frequently asked questions
Can I list actual ad spend?
It may be confidential, so check first. If not, use ranges or percentage changes.
How do I describe agency experience?
Give the industries and number of clients, the budget scale and your role. Name clients only when that is public.
Do I need a portfolio?
Not required, but two or three key campaigns summarized one page each help in interviews. Link it from the resume.
